Jade is originally from Oneida, PA and graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2024. She did the 2+2 program starting at Penn State Hazleton, where she did some research involving the investigation of photochromism on diarylethene compounds, and some research at University Park in a tissue engineering lab focusing on bone tissue scaffolds. Under the co-mentorship of Dr. Gross and Dr. Sipe, she is currently researching how GPCR-dependent gut hormones and neurotransmitters influence food reward in the setting of metabolic dysfunction. She is passionate about contributing to the pharmaceutical industry, with a particular focus on advancing personalized medicine to reduce adverse effects and optimize therapeutic outcomes. In her free time, Jade enjoys spending time with her dog, hunting, fishing, and going on motorcycle runs with her friends and family.
