Shubham is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Biology at Penn State, working with Dr. Grayson Sipe. They earned their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Penn State under Dr. Sri-Rajasekhar Kothapalli, developing transparent ultrasound transducer platforms and combining functional ultrasound with optical imaging to study the neurovascular basis of ultrasound neuromodulation and brain function. A former NIH CDNE T32 Fellow (T32NS115667) and Freiburg Rising Star Fellow (University of Freiburg, Germany), they hold degrees from IIT Kanpur (M.S., Photonics) and the University of Delhi (B.E., Electronics and Communications Engineering). Outside work, they enjoy gravel biking, hiking, art/classic films and shows, indie music, manga/anime, and creative writing.
